What are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?

from Jesse Kenas Collins and His Sounds by Jesse Kenas Collins

/
  • Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

This first solo LP by Jesse Kenas Collins features six tracks of electroacoustic improvisations. Ranging in character from the crisp static of electromagnetic interference to brisk percussive gestures generated with DC computer fans. The bulk of the album is made of a body of drone works employing free reeds, computer fans and cornet. It is housed in a comic and nearly exact facsimile of a private press gem by Wurlitzer master Arthur Hanko. Overall both an instrumental investigation as well as a play on the absurdity, sincerity and necessity of the private press in our culture from the easy to not so easy listening.
